Antonio Marrazzo, C.Ss.R. Province of Naples – Italy -------------------------------------------------- Fr.
Marrazzo was born on October 26, 1952 at Nocera
Inferiore (SA), the son of Michele
and Maiorino Lucrezia. He
entered the novitiate on September 22, 1971 at Ciorani
(SA) and made his first profession September 29, 1972. He obtained a Diploma for technical studies in 1973 at Torre del Greco (NA). After receiving the Diploma he did a two-year course of theology at Colle S. Alfonso (NA) and professed perpetual vows on September 29, 1975 at Ciorani. He continued his theological studies at the Salesian Theological Institute of “S. Michele” at Castellammare di Stabia (NA) and graduated with a Batchelor’s Degree on July 7, 1978. The
bishop of Pompei, Monsignor Domenico Vacchiano, ordained him to the priesthood on June 25,
1978 at Colle S. Alfonso. From
September, 1978 until June, 1981 he was assistant priest in the parish
of St. Gerard at Corato (BA). From
September, 1981 to June, 1984 he attended the Pontifical Theological University
‘Teresianum’in Rome, where
he obtained a Licentiate in spiritual theology on August 11, 1984. Between
August, 1984 and July 15, 1986 he was assistant
to the novice master in Ciorani. At the same
time he was engaged in preaching parish missions and working in youth
ministry. Since
September 10, 1986 Fr. Marrazzo has been the Postulator General of the
Congregation. |
