Prayer for the

XXIV General Chapter

Invocation: With the Lord there is mercy,

Response: And fullness of redemption.

Invocation:

Let us pray.

Response:

Praise to you, Father in heaven,

May your love reign on earth,

make our will one with yours.

May your Son, Jesus, our Redeemer, through the Holy Spirit, grant wisdom and compassion to the XXIV General Chapter and our entire Congregation.

Make us sensitive to the signs of the times,

and open to continual conversion, that we might have the mind and heart of Jesus

as we organize our apostolic life and mission

to respond more effectively to the needs of those to whom you send us, the most abandoned poor.

Help us to be ever more faithful to our charism and mission.

Forgetting ourselves and striving to live for others, may we faithfully proclaim the Gospel of plentiful redemption wherever pastoral needs are most urgent.

Grant us missionary courage and pastoral charity

to go to difficult places and undertake what is most demanding,confident that you are always with us and that we can do all things in you who strengthen us.

In all we feel, think, say and do,

may we give you thanks and praise.
